Resources
Calculation of environmental damage due to the extraction of raw materials and processing required for their use.
Energy
Energy production life cycle analysis: calculation of the environmental damage due to the production of thermal and electrical energy from fossil fuels, biomass, renewable sources. The production phase takes into account the entire life cycle of installations and plants needed for its production.
Industrial products
Product life cycle analysis at industrial scale. Calculation of environmental damage due to production, use and end-of-life scenarios.
Chemical production
Product life cycle analysis at laboratory scale. Calculation of environmental damage due to production, use and end-of-life scenarios.
Food and agriculture
Life cycle analysis of agri-food products: calculation of environmental damage due to cultivation, livestock farming and the food supply chain.
Transport and mobility
Life cycle analysis of urban and extra-urban traffic. Calculation of environmental damage due to public and private traffic in an urban centre or in an extra-urban area on a working day or holiday due to the different activities of citizens.
Building sector
Calculation of the environmental damage due to the life cycle of newly built and renovated buildings (cultural heritage).
Waste treatment
Environmental impact analysis of waste disposal in:
– Landfill
– Incinerator
– Composting plant
– Mechanical and biological treatment plant
– Recycling plants
Calculation of environmental damage due to waste management in municipalities and ATOs.
Systems
Environmental impact analysis associated with the development model:
– of a country or any type of community (District, Municipality, Region),
– of an ecological system (river, lake, agricultural area, mountain area, park),
– of a service (school, hospital, laboratory, hotel, community center, cinema, theater, cafeteria, cultural event)
In all LCA studies, both the internal costs of the analyzed processes, products, and services and the external costs required to mitigate the damages they cause are calculated. Additionally, the social, cultural, and historical benefits resulting from their use are evaluated.
For each LCA study, equations can be created to calculate the damages caused by predefined variables, without using the calculation code.
